Mass Spectroscopy of Gold Ormus
by Michael Burbury
I made some Gold Ormus with the "Full" HCL/H2O2 method, cooking with Lye and also annealed it (though not
with an agron gas as I couldn't obtain the equipment within my means).
I sent the result to a company in W.A that do Mass Spectrography.
Today - they will no longer accept anything from me to assay as the result was - it broke the machine!
Apparently, the method of mass spectrography is to vaporise the powder and then shoot it through a small tube into
a magnetic gate. By calculating the bend in trajectory, they can guesstimate the mass of the ions.
Well... the sample was supposedly vaporised at 10,000 Deg - not all the sample vaporized and the tube became
clogged with a green glass like material that crystalised in there - almost as if it didn't want to go through the
magnetic gate.
Suffice to say, it was very expensive for them to replace parts of the machine...
I have been looking for a different method of spectrography that does not require vaporisation of the material.
Even with other methods of spectrography such as a monochromator - the sample has to be heated until "incandesence"
- which is just not going to work with a sample of this nature. Also a fairly standard fire assay generally results
in the sample being recorded as an isotope of calcium - which it clearly was not.
