Copper Burn
A colleague and I did a Sodium Burn on copper on August 17, 2002. We started by layering one ounce of copper
powder with one quarter pound of sodium metal.

We did the burn in a heavy stainless steel sauce pan with a lid. You can see a picture of the final moments of
the burn below:

The burn produced an off white crust on top as can be seen on the right in the picture above.
Below we are getting ready to pick off the final white portions of this crust:

After we separated the white crust from the rest of the burned material we added water to it. It foamed and spit
so I am glad we were wearing protective clothing and eye shields. You can see us adding water to the white crust
material below:

When we added water to this portion we got a clear, strongly alkali liquid. I brought the pH of this liquid down
to about 2. As it was moving through the range between 10 and 8 I did get some cloudiness but I did not wish to
separate the precipitate as we felt that this was fairly pure ORMUS copper in the water. After adjusting the pH of
this portion we put it aside for later examination.
The other portion with the dark stuff in it probably had quite a bit of other compounds of copper like copper
hydroxide and copper oxides. We mixed this with Prill water and boiled it for an hour or so. After filtering, this
liquid is green as can be seen at:

While we were boiling this I noticed that every time I took the lid off to check the boil a lot of liquid would
drip from the lid. I decided to catch some of this liquid and I put it in a bottle. I figured that this liquid
would not have any of the metallic copper compounds and might have some ORMUS copper in it.
Four of us consumed a few drops of this condensate liquid and we all noticed effects. Three of us noticed that
we could feel it at the top of the head energetically and got slight head aches. All of us got a bit of a spacey,
lethargic feeling from it. Enough so that we felt that we had to be extra careful in the rest of the procedures
that we did.
(I felt as if I could easily go into a state of transcontinental medication and copperplate my navel.)
The liquid from the top crust material was very salty but it also affected us in a similar way.
For the past two months I have continued to ingest the liquid from the top crust material and this appears to be
bringing about changes in the color of my beard. I have photo documented these changes every couple weeks. I have
placed two of these pictures on the Internet. The first of these pictures was taken on April 4, 2002 and can be
seen below:

The second picture was taken on November 2nd, 2002 and can be seen at:

These changes actually have not taken as long as is implied by the difference in timing of the two photographs
as I did not start taking the ORMUS copper until August 17th so the visible change represents only two and a half
months on the ORMUS copper.
This hair color change appears to be happening with each individual hair at one time. A given hair will go from
white to blonde to brown over a period of time. It appears that the entire hair will darken at one time rather than
from the root up. I plucked three hairs from my beard and took a microphotograph of them together.

The top hair is in the intermediate blonde stage, the middle hair is fully dark and the bottom hair is white.
The differences in thikness are probably just an artifact of selection.
A colleague has gone from a completely white beard to his original beard color in a couple of years but I do not
have his permission to put the supporting pictures on the Internet.
